Our Licensing Journey

Kejap Food began with a simple yet powerful idea to serve fast, satisfying meals that reflect the everyday cravings of Malaysians. From our first humble drive-thru outlet in 2020, we quickly became a favorite for office crowds seeking quality food on the go.

In 2023, we took a bold step forward by launching our licensing program — partnering with passionate entrepreneurs in Penang, Ipoh and Sarawak. But with fast growth came real challenges. Distance stretched our support. Systems were still maturing. And while some outlets thrived, others showed us the importance of solid foundations.

Closing our Sarikei outlet was a hard decision — but a necessary one. It pushed us to reflect, rebuild, and refocus.

Today, Kejap Food stands stronger than ever.

Following our merger with HWC under Palaterium Sdn Bhd, we’ve transformed our operations with a more resilient and future-ready foundation. We’ve undergone a full rebranding, refreshed our menu structure to enhance operational flow and customer appeal, and expanded our marketing team to provide stronger support in driving local awareness and digital engagement. These improvements are already showing results — creating a more consistent and scalable business model for our partners.

One of our biggest milestones has been the successful development and rollout of our own self-ordering system — fully automated, intuitive for customers, and proven to increase order accuracy and operational efficiency. This tech-driven enhancement empowers our licensees to run leaner teams without compromising service quality.
